Unlimited renewal unless the item has a hold request

Returning & Checking Out Books
  • Students may return and check-out books anytime during the school day with their teacher's permission.
  • Students DO NOT need to wait until their scheduled class library time to return and check-out books.
Fees
  1. overdue fees - none
  2. minor damages - no charge
  3. lost or badly damaged book -  price of book; payable to CES Library
Refunds Refunds will be given for lost/paid for items found and returned within the same school year.
Library Notices and Student Responsibility
  • Periodically, students will receive a library notice of books checked-out and fees due.
  • Students may view their check-out record at anytime, and may request a print-out of their record at anytime.
  • Students should report to the librarian immediately any errors they notice on their record.
  • Students are responsible for taking care of and returning the items on their check-out record.

Selecting a Book
Students will select age-appropriate book/s of interest and/or those needed for school research assignments.

Hold Requests Students may write a note to the librarian to request an item they would like to check-out when it is returned.
Texas Bluebonnet Books (TBA) August - January
  • Only 3rd-4th graders may check-out current year TBA books.
  • Only 1 current year TBA book may be checked out at a time.

After January, there are no restrictions on the TBA books.
