She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from The University of Texas at Austin and a Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of Texas School of Information.
Ms. Campbell is a "sixth generation Texan". She has two grown daughters, a son-in-law, granddaughter, and two dogs. When Ms. Campbell is not working, she enjoys photography, relaxing with her dogs, exercising, watching movies, and, of course, reading.
Some of Ms. Campbell's favorite children's stories are Millions of Cats (1929 Newbery Honor Book) by Wanda Gag, Make Way for Ducklings (1942 Caldecott Medal) by Robert McCloskey, The Little House (1943 Caldecott Medal) by Virginia Lee Burton, Sam and the Tigers (1996 ALA Notable Book) by Julius Lester, Golem (1997 Caldecott Medal) by David Wisniewski, and The Great Gilly Hopkins (1979 Newbery Honor Book) by Katherine Paterson.
